Who Is an Entrepreneur?

The Global Entrepreneurship Summit is an annual event that was held in Nairobi, Kenya this year.

This summit is a central point that is well set in an expanding program aimed at building a great coalition of governments, business people, a vibrant civil society as well as young and ambitious investors.

The term entrepreneur has popped up time and again during this meeting but do you know who an entrepreneur is?

An entrepreneur is a person who develops a business plan, acquires the human resources as well as other required resources where they are fully responsible for the venture’s success or failure.

He/she is a person with a business mind who dedicates their time and mind to seeing that whatever they need for the success of the business, they get.

He or she is a leader willing to take risks and exercise initiative, taking advantage of market opportunities by planning, organizing and employing resources.

An entrepreneur does not fear failure. They know that the fear of failure is failure in itself. They plan, purpose and go for it without fear. An entrepreneur sees an opportunity and seizes it.
