IFMIS: The most Transformative E-commerce Platform

IFMIS received a Certificate of Recognition for its achievement and ranking among the top 100 organizations in the CIO 100Annual Symposium and Awards competition. The symposium that was held late last year was titled ‘Transformative power of IT business innovation’.

IFMIS has been recognised over and over for its role in public finance management in Kenya.

The system is one of the entities that has used ICT platform in the transformation of business process in public sector.

IFMIS system is used in National and County governments planning, budgeting, procurement, expenditure management and control accounting,auditing and reporting.

The 2014’s IFMIS CIO 100 recognition award, was the latest such award for IFMIS.In 2011 IFMIS/National treasury then ministry of finance won the award and was admitted as CIO100 Honoree 2011.

The system was recognized for excellence in achieving the strategic obj of IFMIS Re-engineering process and creating the recquired platform and space for transparency,accountability and prudence in the management of public financial resources.

IFMIS is not only operational in the national government but also to the county governments,and guarantees that each expense is traceable,delivering optimal value to Kenyans.
