Supreme Court grants NASA Lawyers limited access to IEBC servers

The Supreme Court granted Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta lawyers access to all primary evidence used to conduct August 8 poll and transmit election results.

In their Monday ruling, the 7 judge bench of the Supreme Court  said they had granted the petitioner access to server details, logs, technical agreements between the IEBC and service providers.

“The petitioners and the third respondents shall be granted a read only access of information related to number of servers, files without the disclosure of software version,” Justice Isaac Lenaola said.

“They should also be given certified copies of certificates of penetrations test prior to elections, specific groups location of KIEMS within August 5 to 11,” he added.

“A certified list of KIEMS kits procured and not used during elections.”

It also directed that the audit process be undertaken under supervision of  its registrar  who will submit a report by 5pm Tuesday with submissions from the concerned parties permitted.
