List of Best Performing Governors in Kenya as Women Lag Behind

A London based organization dubbed ‘All Africa Advisor’ has been carrying out an assessment on devolution and has today, 17^th of September 2019, released its results ranking Kenyan Governors in the order of their performance.

The All African Advisors assessment considered the performance of the 47 Governors leading the 47 Counties and examined their performance since devolution and how successful devolution has become.

Below is a list of the Best Performing Governors as Listed by All African Advisors:

1. Alfred Mutua – Machakos
2. Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya – Kakamega
3. Mike Sonko Mbuvi – Nairobi
4. Kivutha Kibwana – Makueni
5. Ali Hassan Joho – Mombasa
6. Muthomi Njuki – Tharaka Nithi
7. Zakaria Okoth Obado – Migori
8. James Omariba Ongwae – Kisii
9. Joseph Jama Ole Lenku – Kajiado
10. Paul Chepkwony Kiprono – Kericho

The results released at the Intercontinental Hotel, Nairobi cited the effectiveness of projects to the residents according to the London based All Africa Advisors.

The Coastal region had one Governor, Ali Hassan Joho, while the absence of Salim Mvurya, Amason Kingi, Dhadho Gadae and Fahim Twaha of Lamu was too loud to be ignored.

Missing from the list were also Governors from the Mount Kenya Region of Kenya as follows:

1. Kiraitu Murungi- Meru
2. Martin Wambora- Embu
3. Francis Kimemia- Nyandarua
4. Mutahi Kahiga- Nyeri
5. Anne Waiguru – Kirinyaga
6. Mwangi wa Iria – Murang’a
7. Ferdinard Waititu – Kiambu
8. Ndiritu Muriithi – Laikipia

Other Governors missing from the list of Best Performing Governors include:

2. Ali Korane – Garissa
3. Mohamed Abdi – Wajir
4. Ali roba –Mandera
5. Mohamud Ali – Marsabit
6. Mohamed Kuti – Isiolo
7. Charity Ngilu – Kitui

10. Moses Kasaine – Samburu
11. Patrick Simiyu – Trans-Nzoia
12. Jackson Mandago – Uasin Gishu

15. Stanley Kiptis – Baringo
16. Lee Kinyanjui – Nakuru
17. Samuel Tunai – Narok

A number of the Governors missing from the list of performing Governors will be noted are either ailing or facing criminal charges.
