The Top Ugliest Cars in The World by Design

The collection of the ugliest cars in the world opens one’s eyes to see the extent of creativity put in engineering, art, and love to preserve culture.
Just like most architects live in the weirdest self-designed houses in the world for the sheer excitement of uniqueness, engineers, too, indulge in the creation of the most unique cars and find fulfilment in being in the machines which in most occasions are the ugliest.
In Kenya, my all-time ugliest car is the Probox or Succeed, not necessarily because of the model and design of the car but because I am of the belief that these cars mostly attract arrogant and careless drivers.
The Nissan Cube and Toyota Will is another model of cars that are a sore sight to the eyes together with the following other ugliest cars:
- PONTIAC AZTEK

The Pontiac Aztek is said to be the first idea of the repulsive SUV which with time has become a popular trend, especially among the rich folks.
The behinds of the Pontiac Aztek look like they were suddenly sliced off yet it has a full front. The Pontiac Aztek’s wheels that give the impression of roller skates take away the car’s remaining pride.
- CITROËN AMI

France, where the Citroën Ami was engineered, is known as the home for fashion!
The Citroën Ami could have easily had France’s fashion title take away since the car was introduced to the market in 1961.
The Ami’s dubious aesthetics and misleading aerodynamics have since then been employed by a few manufacturers.
Ami’s mullet and rectangular headlights leave one with a nauseating feeling and facial expression.
- AMC PACER

If you do not understand the hullabaloo about avocados and think they are overrated, well, the Pacer isn’t your ideal car.
The AMC Pacer, introduced into the market in the 1970s, has avocado-like appliances and is proof that folks had wanted to taste them.
The AMC Pacer was largely mocked as a rolling fishbowl despite its engineers’ hope that it would be the next big design.
The AMC Pacer’s asymmetric doors were the worst invention ever witnessed in the engineering and designing of cars. The Pacer was finally converted into a station wagon.
- AMC GREMLIN

The AMC Gremlin resembles an ugly running shoe at the sides with a bad proportion.
The Gremlin’s rear ends with a slice-like angle, which gives the impression that its designers were either at a dead-end or were too tired to entertain creativity at the time.
- FIAT MULTIPLA

The Multipla looks like one of those deep sea ugly fishes with its ugly unprecedented bulges.
The Multipla’s several bulges look plastic-like and as if they are filled with air such as balloons.
- NISSAN CUBE

The Nissan cube…is a plain sin! The Nissan cube is recognized from its uniquely ghosted features such as its asymmetric rear window that shawls around the left side of the car making it look like an ugly deep fish.
