Are Powerful Individuals That Murdered Kenei Too Mighty For DCI?

The deputy president’s guard AP Kipyegon Kenei was murdered by ‘very powerful individuals’, the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti said yesterday, 5th March 2020 to the anger of many Kenyans.
Kenei has been confirmed as the guard who was on duty when the then Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa visited the Harambee Annex office where the Deputy president’s office is located and is said to have closed fake military arms deal running to around 40 billion shillings.
The AP sergeant was murdered in his house in Imara Daima on a day he was supposed to be honoring a summon by the DCI to appear on the case facing Echesa, leaving the country wondering what it is that he knew that was so bad that he had to be killed to cover up.
“We have identified the persons of interest and that will be the focus of our investigation going forward,” the DCI said while addressing the media.
Kinoti played CCTV footage showing Echesa and foreigners walk into the Harambee Annex offices and out in what seemed like 23 minutes though Kinoti maintained Echesa and his men were in the DP’s offices for 1 hour 22 minutes.

Kinoti noted that a part of CCTV footage had conveniently been deleted.
We Know He Was Murdered, Your Job Is To Tell Us Who Did It
A huge number of Kenyans, however, expressed their displeasure in the DCI addressing the media without giving them the culprit as after the briefing the big question still remained, ’who killed Kenei?’
The ‘why’ he was killed became obvious the day he was found dead and the fact that it was murder and not suicide was also very obvious for common mwananchi, what was a puzzle that required the expertise of the DCI was the ‘who’.
With the request to address the media with updates on the Kenei murder, hopes were built that indeed there was a breakthrough only for journalists to be taken through an hour of drama that could not be substantiated.
Who is ‘powerful individuals’? ‘Is the DCI chickening out at individuals. “Kenei was murdered to safeguard, protect, insulate and save powerful figures who are the source of the fake military arms deal,” the DCI said.
Kenyans however already know that Kenei was murdered by powerful people who were protecting themselves from being exposed over the fake military arms deal, that is why he was killed before he could honor the DCI summons after all.
What Kenyans wish to Mr, Kinoti is what is or are the names of the said powerful individuals that murdered Kenei and when will justice be served or are, they too powerful for you?
