3 More Dead As Eastleigh Leads In Highest Number Of COVID-19

Kenya has recorded an additional 25 positive COVID-19 cases after 632 samples were taken through testing in the last 24 hours bring the country’s total number of confirmed cases to 607.

The 25 new positive COVID-19 cases include one Ugandan national, one Tanzanian, and one Chinese with 22 Kenyans making up the total of confirmed cases in the country.

The cases are spread out with Nairobi leading with a confirmed 17 cases followed by Kajiado with two, Wajir two, Mombasa one case, Migori one, Nakuru one.

Migori County has reported its first case bringing the total number of counties affected to 18 out of the existing 47 counties.

The 17 COVID-19 cases reported in Nairobi in the last 24 hours include nine in Eastleigh, two in Kawangware, and one in South C.

The 25 new COVID-19 confirmed cases in the last 24 hours range between 8 years of age for the youngest and 73 years of age for the eldest.

Twenty-one of those that have tested positive for COVID-19 in Kenya for the last 24 hours are males while only four are females notably, more men continue to infected with COVID-19 than females.

On a positive note, Kenya has also recorded a total of seven new recoveries bringing the total to 197 in Kenya according to Heath CAS Rashid Iman.

Sadly in Nairobi, two more people have died of COVID-19 while one has died of the same in Mombasa county even as Doctor Rashid Iman has reiterated that Eastleigh and OldTown would continue on the 15-lockdown.

CAS Rashid has urged landlords and neighbors to report any suspicious people moving houses to curb the spread of infections.

Kenya, according to CAS Rashid, is on the process of evacuating Kenyans on treatment in India and they are expected to land today evening and head for self-quarantine in their homes under the monitoring of their doctors.
