104 New Covid-19 Cases, 2 Casualties As Cases Move To 4,478

Covid-19 continues to gain momentum in Kenya even as efforts are put in place to fight it. In the past 24 hours, 104 new confirmed cases have been registered according to the Ministry of Health.

A total of 2820 samples were tested. Of the 104, a total of 76 are male while 28 are female. The total number of confirmed cases now stands at 4478.

Last 24 hours have witnessed two more casualties. The total number of those who have died now stands at 119. 36 more patients were discharged taking the total number of recoveries to 1586.

“All the 104 positive cases are Kenyans. 76 of them are males while 28 are females. The youngest is one year old while the oldest is 76,” said the Ministry of Health in a statement.

Nairobi has 60 new cases, Mombasa 33, Kilifi 5, Busia 3, Kajiado 2, and Tafuta Taveta 1.

In Nairobi, Lang’ata has 22, Kibra 19, Westlands 11, Starehe 3, Dagoretti North 2, Embakasi South 1, Kasarani 1, and Embakasi East 1.

In Mombasa, Changamwe has 13, Mvita 8, Jomvu 4, Likoni 2, and Nyali 1.

The government is now focusing on helping Kenyans who seem to be receiving a heavy toll from the pandemic that is causing a lot of stress on the majority of them.
