Ugandans are very brave but funny people, who on earth tries to grab the land of the president of the country?

Uganda’s statehouse Anti-corruption Unit on 29th June 2020 arrested two Ugandan citizens, Mr. Segane Peter and Mr. Suuna Jimmy who were allegedly trying to grab president Museveni’s land in Gomba district.

The land in question is in Katwekambwa in Kabulasoke Sub County, Gomba District and it’s a private land legally owned by the president of the Republic of Uganda.

According to Lt Col Edith Nakelema, head of the statehouse Anti-corruption Unit, these two men were found with five forged land titles of land that was already in the Names of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

“The two fraudulently acquired 5 land titles on land already registered in the name of Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. We identified a number of lapses in the processing of the titles at the levels of the Area Land Committee, District Land Board and Ministry of Lands,” Nakalema said.

Edith Nakalema stated that they had received various complaints that the president’s land had been encroached on by two unknown but suspicious men, therefore she worked with the police on investigations and the two men were arrested on Monday.

“The file with respect to the two suspects has been forwarded to the DPP. Investigations are ongoing and all those found culpable will be prosecuted,” Nakalema added.
