Raila Tells Doctors To Be More Understanding As They Die

BY Juma · December 8, 2020 08:12 am

“Doctors need to be more understanding, we are in a crisis at the moment, people are dying, it is not only doctors who are dying. We are in a dire situation as the economy is hurting during the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Raila Odinga.

In simple terms here, Raila Odinga was telling Kenyan doctors to spare us the drama and die in peace of Covid-19, because after all, it is not only them who are dying. Coming from a man who always presents himself as an epitome of wisdom, this was the dumbest statement.

The insensitive statement of Raila Odinga came at a time the country lost a 28-year-old doctor, Dr. Stephen Mogusu, who had worked for 5 months without pay, died gasping for Oxygen because neither he nor his family had money and nobody cared.

This government, with the push from Raila Odinga, used 10,000,000,000 shillings to tanga tanga across the country to prepare one of the most useless documents on earth, BBI, which was later disowned and another one prepared.

He is the same man behind the push for a referendum that is likely to cost a whopping 14,000,000,000 shillings, at a time doctors have no PPEs, no medical cover, and are dying as they try to save lives. It is a shame that such statements could come from a leader.

Truth is, at the moment, Kenya needs doctors more than our clueless politicians. But according to them, Kenya needs BBI that will have the country paying and sustaining the styles of more than 600 MPs who will be too tired to think.

Why is it that we always end up with the most clueless individuals to lead us? Which god of confusion and chaos did we insult? Will Kenya be ever redeemed to the point of us appreciating such important people as doctors during a pandemic?
