Leading Presidential candidates Raila Odinga of Azimio and UDA's William Ruto have won a majority of MPs from areas perceived to be their political bastion.
The Orange Democratic Party, which is in the Azimio La Umoja coalition, has reportedly won 21 MP seats after defeating their main competitors in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, as well as those who stood with other parties and as independent candidates.
According to the IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati, the commission is on its last leg of the journey to complete the counting of the interim presidential results.
The most recent polls show that the two leading candidates, William Samoei Ruto and Raila Amollo Odinga, have already received about 4 million votes or more.
Winners for the positions of governor, senator, member of parliament, woman representative, and member of county assemblies have already been declared and made public by the commission in various regions of the nation.

Odinga’s spokesman Junet Mohammed was the first to retain his Suna East Seat, followed by Opiyo Wandayi (Ugunja)

The vote-counting process is still underway. Some counties have already submitted scanned copies of Forms 34A to the IEBC’s main tallying centers with their finalized presidential counting results.
While the outcome of the presidential poll remains a priority, some of the candidates for the other elective seats such as MPs have already bowed out and accepted defeat.
