Kenya Airways pilots who are members of the Kenya Airline Pilots Association (KALPA) have announced that they will be going on strike starting Saturday at 6 am. The pilots say KQ management has refused to listen to them despite the push.

“Beginning Saturday 5, 2022, from 6.00 am local time, there shall be no Kenya Airways aircraft departing from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) flow a KALPA Member,” said KALP in a statement.

KALPA has blamed Kenya Airways management for using threats and intimidation against its members instead of listening to their grievances. At the same time, KALPA wants a complete shift of the management at KQ for failing to turn around the ailing airline.
