“You do not pick stocks. You pick companies,” he says. “When I was 11, I was fascinated by the idea of picking stocks, and always followed how they went up and down… I always thought the best way was to predict stocks… When you pick companies, you become part of them and you will actually lose the idea of worrying how the stocks will do,” he adds.
The sentiments of Warren Buffet are in agreement with those of another billionaire, Elon Musk. Elon, the world’s richest man, told both current and aspiring investors to only buy stocks in several companies to produce products and services that they believe in.
“Buy stocks in several companies that make products and services that you believe in. Only sell if you think their products and services are trending worse. Don’t panic when the market does,” he said in a tweet.
Elon Musk is known to have invested in various giant companies around the world. He is currently the owner of Twitter after buying it at a cost of 44 billion dollars. He also owns Tesla and has huge investments in cryptocurrency.
