Total equity turnover declined by 97.61 percent to close at USD 4.31 million (562.66 million shillings) compared to yesterday’s turnover of USD 180.21 million shillings (23.54 billion shillings).
NSE 20 and NASI rose by 0.96 percent and 0.87 percent to close at 1,541.26 and 110.86 respectively.

Exchange Rate Performance
The Kenyan shilling weakened against the US dollar, the Pound, and the Euro. Against the US Dollar, the shilling weakened by 0.23 percent to close at 130.62 (-5.87 percent year-to-date).
Against the Pound, the local currency weakened by 0.38 percent to close at 159.90 (-7.70 percent year-to-date). At the same time, against the Euro, the shilling weakened by 0.90 percent to close at 140.72 (-7.20 percent year-to-date).
