NCBA Now Is More Than Just An App; Giving Rewards, Enabling Payments, And Investments
Many banks in Kenya have banking apps. And that is it. Nothing beyond. They just have simple platforms that enable their customers to deposit and withdraw cash, with a few enabling payments of services. Some apps have never gone live since launch, leaving many to transact via USSD.
Former Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) Dr. Patrick Njoroge used to ask, “What is that beyond the app that can make a customer appreciate the services of any given bank?” According to him, many banks were competing to have apps with no unique services.

The app offers a range of features designed to make banking more accessible and convenient for customers. One such feature is the ability to pay bills/ utilities directly through the app including; postpay bills for power, as well as make payments for popular services such as DSTV, Zuku, and Go TV.

Every time you transact via the app; deposit, withdraw, pay bills and utilities, or invest, you stand a chance to win various instant prizes daily, weekly, and monthly.
This is a reward program that will see millions of customers stand a chance to win prizes per every transaction. NCBA Bank has become among the few lenders who have come up with such a unique program.

One distinct feature that makes NCBA Now tick all the boxes is its ability to allow users to invest in Unit Trusts. NCBA Bank Kenya was able to integrate their NCBA Unit Trust Funds into this app, making a first of that kind tied to a banking institution.
Unit Trust Funds are collective investment schemes regulated by the Capital Markets Authority that pool investors’ money into a single fund. The funds are then channeled into various professionally managed investments.
