Kenyan Chef Maliha Sets Sights On 150 Hours As She Goes For Individual Guinness World Record

Kenyan culinary star, Maliha Mohammed, is gearing up for a groundbreaking attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest solo cooking session.

With the clock at 245pm EAT reading 140 hours of cooking, Chef Maliha vowed to push to 150 hours which will redefine the limits of solo culinary endurance, underscoring her dedication to pushing the boundaries of her craft.

The current record, held by Irish chef Alan Fisher, stands at 119 hours and 57 minutes, surpassing the previous record set by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci.

Chef Maliha is poised to secure the record even when accounting for a countback and subtracting her resting hours from the total.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the challenge, Chef Maliha noted, “Setting a target of 150 hours is not just about breaking records; it’s about pushing the limits of what is possible in the world of solo cooking marathons. This journey is a testament to the passion and resilience that fuels me.”

Chef Maliha is being fueled by Sea Gas who are supporting this extraordinary feat.
