Am I OK? Tells the story of Lucy and Jane, lifelong best friends who believe they know everything about each other. But when Jane announces she’s moving to London, Lucy reveals a long-held secret. As Jane tries to help Lucy navigate coming out in her 30s, their friendship is put to the test.  

People’s Choice winner Dakota Johnson (the Fifty Shades films) and Sonoya Mizuno (House of the Dragon) co-star. The cast also includes Sundance winner Molly Gordon (The Bear). Emmy winner Sean Hayes (Jack in Will & Grace) and Grammy- and Emmy-nominated comedian Tig Notaro, who co-directed Am I OK? with her wife, Emmy-nominated director Stephanie Allynne.

Am I Okay? was nominated for Outstanding Film at this year’s GLAAD Media Awards, the most visible annual LGBTIAQ+ awards show in the world.
Am I Okay? has an 82% critics’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The Pink Lens calls it “a warm hug of a movie that feels like a cupcake for the soul.”

THE DAY THE EARTH BLEW UP: A LOONEY TUNES MOVIE

Looney Tunes’ first animated character, Porky Pig, turned 90 this year! To celebrate, Warner Bros. and Ketchup Entertainment bring us the first fully animated feature-length film in Looney Tunes history: The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie! 

 The hand-drawn 2D animated adventure stars one of the greatest comedic duos in history, Porky Pig and Daffy Duck, who become unlikely heroes and Earth’s only hope when their antics at the local bubble gum factory uncover a secret alien mind control plot. Faced with cosmic odds, the two are determined to save their town (and the world!)… if they don’t drive each other loony in the process.  

 The movie has an 86% critics’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes, where the critics’ consensus says, “Restoring much of Looney Tunes‘ quintessential charm with a daffy dose of high energy and inventive gags, The Day the Earth Blew Up goes to show that these iconic characters remain evergreen fun.”

Common Sense Media recommends the movie for ages 7.

WE LIVE IN TIME

Oscar nominees Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh star in We Live in Time, a decade-spanning, deeply moving romance from BAFTA winner John Crowley (Brooklyn). 

We Live in Time earned Crowley a Best Director nomination at the 2025 Irish Film and Television Awards, where Pugh was up for Best International Actress. 

Empire Magazine says We Live in Time is “worthy of your time, and your tears.” Time Out calls it “real, and honest, in a way that too few romantic films manage.” And The Hollywood Reporter says, “Seldom has such an unflinchingly honest take on mortality felt so transcendently life-affirming.” 

LATE NIGHT WITH THE DEVIL

Rotten Tomatoes’ fourth best-reviewed horror of 2024, Late Night with the Devil takes us to 1977 and a Halloween talk show special like no other, one that will either resuscitate Johnny Carson rival Jack Delroy’s ailing ratings, or unleash evil into the living rooms of America…

As Stephen King himself tweeted, “It’s brilliant. I couldn’t take my eyes off it.”

Late Night with the Devil won Best Independent Film at the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films’ 2025 Saturn Awards, while David Dastmalchian (Gurathin in Murderbot) won Best Actor at the Fangoria Chainsaw Awards, where writer-directors Cameron and Colin Cairnes took home Best Screenplay. Dastmalchian is also nominated for Best Actor in a Horror at the 2025 Critics’ Choice Super Awards.

BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE

Directed by Tim Burton (Wednesday, Beetlejuice), Beetlejuice was last year’s best-reviewed fantasy movie on Rotten Tomatoes and the 13^th biggest box office hit globally.

After a family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her teenage daughter, Astrid, accidentally opens the portal to the Afterlife. With trouble brewing in both realms, it’s only a matter of time until the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem. 

Oscar nominee Michael Keaton (Batman, Spotlight) reprises his iconic role as Beetlejuice. Oscar nominee Winona Ryder (Stranger Things, Edward Scissorhands) and Emmy winner Catherine O’Hara (Schitt’s Creek, The Last of Us) return as Lydia and Delia Deetz, with Emmy nominee Jenna Ortega (Wednesday) joining the cast as Astrid. Also look out for Oscar nominees Willem Dafoe and Danny DeVito, as well as Emmy winner Justin Theroux (The Leftovers).

A tale of love, loss, laughter, and life, Here brings us a story that travels through generations and across multiple families in the special place they inhabit.  

The film reunites Oscar winner Tom Hanks and Golden Globe winner Robin Wright with the Oscar-winning team behind Forrest Gump – director Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Contact) and screenwriter Eric Roth (Killers of the Flower Moon, Dune: Part One, A Star is Born). 

The stacked cast includes Critics’ Choice nominees Paul Bettany (WandaVision, A Beautiful Mind), Kelly Reilly (Yellowstone‘s Beth Dutton), and Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey‘s Lady Mary Crawley), as well as Ophelia Lovibond (Minx) and Nigerian-British BAFTA nominee Nikki Amuka-Bird (Knock at the Cabin). 

Several cast members, including Hanks and Wright, were digitally de-aged for certain scenes, and Here was nominated for this year’s Emerging Technology Award from the Visual Effects Society. The film also won the 2025 International Film Music Critics awards for Composition of the Year and Best Original Score for a Drama Film for Oscar-nominated composer Alan Silvestri (Forrest Gump, Back to the Future).  

BETTER MAN

Better Man reimagines one of Britain’s biggest pop superstars ever, Robbie Williams, as he sees himself: a monkey.

“Daring to substitute its marquee star with a VFX creation and somehow pulling it off, Better Man makes a monkey out of the traditional musical biopic, to thrilling effect,” says Rotten Tomatoes, where it has an 89% critics’ rating. 

Directed by Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman), Better Man’s central character is played by Jonno Davies (Hunters, Kingsman: The Secret Service) and voiced by Williams. The motion capture is by Wētā Workshop and Wētā Digital, who created Caesar in Planet of the Apes and Gollum in The Lord of the Rings.    

Nominated for Best Visual Effects at the 2025 Oscars, Better Man was also up for Best Original Song at the Golden Globes, among other accolades. 

Empire Magazine calls this “batshit music biopic … an absolute blast,” and “the biggest cinematic surprise of the year.”
