Banking on Belief beyond borders

As part of a 15-player Kenyan contingent competing at the inaugural Rwanda Open, NCBA Pro Team golfer and Brand Ambassador Njoroge Kibugu took on a strong field of 156 golfers and some of Africa’s leading professionals in Kigali. After opening with a level-par 72, Njoroge found his rhythm in the second round, carding a four-under 68 to move comfortably inside the cut line and secure his place for the weekend. A second consecutive 68 in Round Three saw him climb further up the leaderboard, showcasing the consistency and resilience needed to compete at the highest level of regional golf.

Njoroge eventually finished the tournament at five-under par with a total score of 285, a commendable performance that reflected the determination, discipline and belief that continued to drive his journey in the professional game. His successful run to the weekend highlighted the opportunities that tournaments such as the Rwanda Open provide for East African golfers to test themselves against elite competition, gain valuable experience, and continue pursuing bigger ambitions on the continental stage.
