Here Are 10 Aspects Businesses Need To Adapt To Rise Past COVID-19

COVID-19 has changed the way we work and will adjust our work environment as we report to work in the future and flourish businesses.
As the curfew was extended, it allowed firms to have a full-day shift, which meant more people started to report to the office but is that where the future needs us?
The increased traffic is just but an indicator of people tired of staying home without a livelihood and having run out of savings. How will COVID-19 change the workplace of the future? We look at the top 10 aspects Businesses need to adapt to rise past COVID-19.
Increase of women staff
It is not an easy decision but hurtful when a mother has to choose between her career and motherhood.
Most women have dropped their careers to take care of their young ones, as their jobs could not allow them to work from home.
COVID-19 has a positive aspect for women as having proved they can work from home and still takes care of the children, as they are not going to school.
Finally, they will get the 50 percent or more stake in the workforce as limited travel means they can take managerial positions with ease
Office as an address
Post-COVID-19, companies will require minimum space for office once it establishes people can work from home and deliver.
Company headquarter could become recruiting centers or training areas for new and existing staff. Office space could become conference centers for communication with limited staff such as heads of department occasional staff meeting.
Zoom and Email meetings
The perfection of zoom meetings and communication through WhatsApp groups and email, face-to-face meetings will no longer be necessary.
Zoom meeting may build other staff confidence who would not stand face to face meeting with work colleagues.
Commuting
Working from home has reduced commuting by staff to and from the office on a daily basis. This has cut costs for a company that offered transport to work or allowance for such.
Business travel will also reduce significantly, as large group gathering is unlikely for conferences or training. Transport Allowance will be switched with office furniture and communication cost reimbursement as working from home becomes permanent.
Mandatory on-the-job medical screening
It will be a normal occurrence for an office block to have thermal scanners at entrances and periodic medical examinations in the office to ensure those that catch COVID-19 virus don’t spread it to their colleagues.
Those who exhibit signs of infectious disease will be given time off to avoid transmission and total isolation. Sanitizing in public spaces will continue to the future for hygiene purposes.
Coworkers could become even closer
Working together each day meant people got used to each other and took each other for granted well to get past COVID-19, we will need to learn to appreciate each other and grant each other a healthy working environment as tomorrow is now most uncertain.
The long absence from each other during the lockdown and working from home has shown us the importance of each of the team members in the office including the ones we thought were least important. These include tea staff, messengers, cleaners, and guards.
Face masks as part of the wardrobe
COVID-19 vaccine trial is almost 1 year away and as such wearing masks will be with us for a long time.
Mask will become part of the attire, therefore; we might as well incorporate it into our wardrobe to march our office clothes.
Standard 8-to-5 office hours
The economic downtime will take a while for most companies to rise above. The cost of additional office space to allow for social distancing might be impossible for most firms.
Most companies might decide to reschedule working hours to allow for the spacing. We will no longer stick to the 8 am to 5 pm office hours in the fight against COVID-19 spread.
Automation of most works
To avoid transmission of COVID-19 viruses and germs most companies will automate to reduce papers and contact items.
Delivery companies have already adopted contactless delivery. The hand sanitizer will be automated just as the recording of visitors in the entrances of the building.
Internet access and coverage
The concentration of internet access in urban areas is bound to increase as witnessed by E-learning in both public and private institutions.
In a bid to catch-up with the syllabus during this COVID-19 pandemic, learning was moved online but the challenge of access and cost hindered most learners.
The electrification of schools and internet coverage is bound to increase and increase usage. Teachers’ conference or travel and absence from school shall not be a reason to miss class anymore.
