These are the People You Will Find on Every Great Team
Every great team has a storyteller, a designer, a builder, a magician, a stabilizer, a fighter, an explorer, a dreamer, a mentor and a recruiter.
Storyteller
Who is a storyteller in an organization what is his role in growing the organization? Are the kind of stories in an organization the same as narrations some of which are based on fiction, innuendos with little truth in them?
For a business to be known, information concerning the business has to be given out. That information has to be concrete, tangible and convincing so as to act as a persuasive tool either to customers or investors.
A storyteller, therefore, is the one who determines the popularity of the organization or business venture to the outside world and he or she can either build up the business or build it down.
Storytelling has become a big buzzword in many savvy companies that are investing heavily in making sure that their customers as well as prospect customers are satisfied of their hunger for content.
With compelling characters, relatable as well as unforgettable plots and authenticity, innovators in these companies are widely connecting with consumers, colleagues as well as investors.
Storytelling is not just a sales tool for a company but a key tap to get clients to know and understand the company as well as the products being offered. It can also be used to connect employees to one another as well as to manage and to give a voice to those who might not be in position to raise their voice.
Many communication companies as well as telecommunication companies and PR firms have mastered this skill of storytelling.
A designer
Designers are tasked to work in a wide range of fields like the fashion, architecture, graphic design as well as web design.
A designer is a clear representation of the company. A designers is like the corporate identity of the team or the company. People will or will not identify with a given company or a business venture according to the work done by the designer.
Many people take designers in a company just as individuals who only determine a representation of something or an artistic rendering but that is just a tip of it. The truth is that a designer is very key to the appearance of the company to the outside world. He or she is like a cleaner. If he or she cleans and arranges the company well then the company will be attractive.
Almost every company has a website as well as other social media platforms. The person who will make someone not to read other websites and choose the one that you have is a designer. All the way from the layout to the graphical presentation to the corporate colors.
A builder
A builder in a company is the same as a builder of a house who facilitates the construction of a house from scratch.
There are many builders in a company and who are responsible for the success of the company on a day to day.
In most cases, builders in a company are those who strive to bring in revenue to the company. In this case, clients and customers are the first builder. Without a strong customer base, a business cannot thrive. Customers, therefore, determine the foundation and the sustainability of the business.
The second builder is the employee. An employee is key to the business success of the company for he or she determines whether the existing customers will continue being subscribers to the services or whether the new ones will be maintained. Employees are key in production as well as in the maintenance of the quality of the products.
A magician
When magicians are mentioned, many people only think of black magic and juju but that is not the kind of magic that works in business.
A magician in a company is that who makes things happen. He is that person who is skilled in certain field as well as talented in such a manner that without him, nothing can happen.
A magician in a company is that individual who is an executive and often creates innovative products or services that often impresses both the existing customers as well as new ones. He or she delivers an experience in a more meaningful more delightful that possibly expected.
Magic in a company is about hard work, creativity and having that curiosity of wanting to always invent as well as trying out something new.
According to Forbes Magazine, magicians in a company are always under pressure to reinvent their performances to stay ahead of the competition. Magicians must strive to be innovative, providing the kind of magical product as well as services that exceed the expectations of the customer as well as the offerings of the competitors.
A stabilizer
This is an individual in a company who formulates economic policies as well as programmes that are specifically designed as a way of offsetting fluctuations in a company without involving other policymakers.
This involves formulating policies on the taxes of the company as well as personal taxes as well as ensuring the welfare of the company as well as that of the employees.
A stabilizer is more like a current that determines the floating of an airplane in air. If the current is calm and cool, the plane stabilizes and floats without any hitches. He or she, therefore, makes sure that the company is stable financially and in terms of policy so that it has no problems with the authorities, as well as the community.
In most companies, a PR officer as well as an accountant are often the stabilizers who make sure that the company operates normally.
An explorer
In the past, exploration was only associated with science where scientists travelled to the moon to explore new innovations. Exploration is also about travelling to new places and discovering new things.
From the literary definitions above, the role of an explorer in a business can clearly be known. This is a person in a company who likes taking up new challenges as well as discovering new things.
An explorer in business works just like a magician the only difference being that the main role of an explorer is to identify. He is like a spy to the company looking out for new products on the market, the demands of the customers, information about the competitors and relaying that information to the company so that the company can know where to improve.
A dreamer
This is a person who sees the future of the company. He or she is like the prophet of the company. He or she predicts where the company will be some times from the current and sets the prospects for the company with the aim of the company attaining them.
A mentor
There is nothing as good as a sound advice in the world of business. Many business have grown because of a sound advice from people who have a vast knowledge in the sector. That sound advice is mentorship.
Mentors are the pillars of a business. They give advice on how to and how not to run a business. They see a problem and give guidance concerning the business and on what step to take. They are often people who have been in the field for long and always know exactly what they are saying.
A fighter
This is an individual who fights for the sustainability of the company. This is a person who never gives up. He or she stands for the company especially when it is at its lowest point.
In most companies, lawyers are the fighters especially when the company is embroiled in a legal issue. PR officers are also fighters in trying to maintain as well as restoring the image of the company.
Employees who work tirelessly in making sure that the company remain afloat with qualitative products and services are also fighters.
