Cohen’s Painful Death As Family Woes Make It Difficult To Honor His Wish

Tob Cohen, whose death has left Kenyans more divided on tribal lines than shocked, died a painful death as revealed by the autopsy carried out on 18^th September 2019.

Tob Cohen’s skull was smashed; his left leg had been dislocated and both his hands had been broken in a way revealing that he must have desperately fought his murderers before being overpowered.

Cohen who was once a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Phillips Company died at a time when he pursuing a divorce from his wife Sarah Wairimu who has since been taken into custody as a suspect.

Cohen’s body was discovered on 13^th September 2019 and had gone missing on the 19^th of July 2019.

The tycoon’s body was decomposing, which revealed that he had been dead for a long time when it was found in an empty underground water tank at his home in the leafy suburbs of Kitisuru.

The post mortem was to be carried out on 17^th September 2019 but the family disagreed on the specialist supposed to carry out the exercise prompting the Government pathologist to cut his leave short and carry out the exercise.

The post-mortem was carried out in the presence of Tob Cohen’s wife, Sarah Wairimu, Sister Gabrielle Cohen amongst other family members and officers tasked with investigating the gruesome crime.

Sarah Wairimu and Gabrielle Cohen disagreed on who was to bury the remains of Tob Cohen as Sarah, through her lawyer Phillip Murgor, wrote to Chiromo Morgue demanding that her husband’s body should not be released to anyone else other than her.

Sarah Wairimu was still the legally married wife to Tob Cohen which gives her an advantage over the body of her husband legally.

“The sister has no legal right over the body. We have rejected her demand and have written to Chiromo Morgue not to release that body to anyone, but Sarah Cohen,” said Sarah’s Lawyer, Philip Murgor.

Tob Cohen was a Dutch Jewish and according to the Jewish culture one is buried as soon as possible after their demise, this might be unachievable with the Tycoon following that he already has been dead for a long time and his sister and wife cannot seem to agree on anything.
