Safaricom To Carry Out System Maintenance: The Following Services To Be Temporarily Unavailable

The telecommunications giant Safaricom is set to carry out a system maintenance on Sunday, March 22, 2020 with some of the services being temporarily unavailable.

In a statement, Safaricom says the maintenance will start at 2 am on Sunday and expected to be completed at 8 am on the same day.

“All calls, SMS services, M-Pesa, internet and data shall remain available for the duration of the maintenance,” said Safaricom.

The following services will be temporarily unavailable during the period of maintenance:

All airtime top-ups, including via M-Pesa

All product purchases including purchase of data bundles, voice bundles and SMS bundles

All Bonga Point services including redemption of Bonga Points Postpaid Payments.
