Five Ways DStv Is Supporting Kenyan Customers In These Uncertain Times

The Corona Virus Outbreak continues to impact the production world as countries are forced to take strict measures to try and prevent its spread. With the escalating rapid spread, content production and sports fixtures have been postponed until further notice.
According to MultiChoice Kenya managing director, Nancy Matimu, the business has swiftly adjusted to inform, educate as well as entertain their consumers.
“Our customers are at the center of everything we do. In these difficult times, we are still committed to providing superior entertainment by adjusting our sports scheduling to give them the best entertainment and education content,” said Nancy, “We don’t have a line of sight on how long this will last for. This, however, has a direct impact on our live content calendar.”
All these customer-focused, content enhancements come at no additional cost. Therefore, it goes without saying that DStv is currently the place to watch content seeing that staying at home is the best current solution to fight the Corona Virus Outbreak.
DStv Pricing
Since 2019, the prices of DStv have been consistently dropping to give customers relief by up to 37 percent in some packages.
The most recent price drop was effected last week on 1st April 2020 to reflect the 2 percent reduction in the Value Added Tax (VAT) rate, from 16 percent to 14 percent as stipulated in the Value Added Tax (Amendment of the Rate of Tax) Order 2020, issued on 26th March 2020 by the President.
“Our aim is to make great entertainment accessible to more consumers in Kenya and we believe this move will grant more of our customers access to the complete world of exciting entertainment channels at lower prices during this challenging period,” said Nancy. “DStv started a price reduction last year and will continue to pass on any pricing benefits and continue to pass on any pricing benefits. We have also recently moved to swiftly implement the VAT relief.”

More news channels to keep you informed
To ensure that its customers are provided with broad access to credible information at these uncertain times, DStv has made news channels more widely available.
