Kenya has today, on 29th April 2020, recorded 10 new cases of Covid-19, with nine of those coming from Mombasa, raising the number of cases in the country to 384 according to the updates given by the Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi.

The ten that have tested positive for Coronavirus are nine from Mombasa and one from Nairobi who comprised a total of 508 samples drawn from 14 counties and tested in the 24 hours.

All the Mombasa cases have been picked from different parts by the Ministry of Health surveillance teams while one was picked from Nairobi’s Kawangware.

The new cases are between 12 and 53 years.

Another five people have been discharged, bringing the total recoveries to 129.

Mwangangi has expressed disappointment about how Kenyans who have recovered from Covid-19 have been treated after reintegrating into society.

“We appeal for compassion, understanding and celebrating those who have been able to recover,” she said.

Meanwhile, eateries have been directed to visit www.health.go.ke to access the protocols needed to reopen.
