Embu East youths call for nullification of National Police Service Recruitments noting doubtful gaps. The angry youth at Runyenjes stadium raised concerns calling for the nullification of the whole recruitment process in the entire Runyenjes and Embu East Sub-county at large.
These arise after a series of complaints by a number of participants who have termed the exercise as unfair following their experience.
The exercise that commenced on Monday 22nd at around 9 AM was not complete by 12:00 Am midnight which left the recruits in the cold in the muddy stadium following the days’ buzz of activities among them an 8 lap around the stadium.
The whole process resulted in only 8 recruits securing a position to serve with the service. This and the late finish made many believe that something fishy was going on calling for the repeat of the process.
They claim that the event took too long after exposing them and their certificates to rain during the day following the heavy thunderstorm that was experienced in the area thus risking their health.
There were also complaints by the ladies as none of them was even offered a chance to participate moments after their arrival where it was announced that there were no slots for them.
The ladies called for equal opportunities and gender equality in ensuring fairness seeing as this is the second recruitment in a span of two years.
The ladies were mostly disappointed since the National Police Service Commissioner Naftali Rono had visited the area earlier and promised them a free and fair exercise.
