Kenyan Shilling Continues To Fall, Hits The Lowest In History

  • USD|KES: KES weakened by 0.09% to close at 144.04 (-16.75% year-to-date).
  • GBP|KES: KES weakened by 0.22% to close at 183.55 (-23.63% year-to-date).
  • EUR|KES: KES strengthened by 0.13% to close at 157.23 (-19.78% year-to-date).

Kenyan Stock Market

Total equity turnover dropped by 81.06% to close at USD 1.06 MN (KES 153.08 MN) compared to yesterday’s turnover of USD 5.61 MN (KES 808.36 MN).

NSE 20 dropped by 0.18% to close at 1,547.58 and NASI rose by 2.19%  to close at 102.21.

Foreign investors assumed a net buying position by accounting for 66.02% of total market purchases and 50.91% of total market sales.
