How To Use Two WhatsApp Accounts On One Phone
On 19th October, Meta Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mark Zuckerberg unveiled a two-account feature for WhatsApp.
In an announcement via his WhatsApp channel, Zuckerberg announced that users will be able to have two accounts on one phone in the new changes.
This means two accounts will be logged in at the same time on one device, a feature that was previously unavailable. Users will also be able to switch accounts simultaneously.
Meta CEO shared a test of the changes, demonstrating how he could switch between his work and personal accounts. Notably, both accounts were registered under two different numbers.

The exact dates for the rollout of the new changes are yet to be known. It is also not known whether the changes will be announced in phases across the globe or fully.
The introduction of this ability means one need not log out from one account to use the second one; use a separate device for the second account, or worry about accidentally sending a message from the wrong account.
“Switch between two accounts on WhatsApp. Soon you will be able to have two WhatsApp accounts on one phone within the app,” the billionaire announced.
Additionally, to use the feature, one must only use the official WhatsApp and not the imitations or fake versions, cautioned Meta.
The new changes will be revolutionary for Kenyans who wish to separate their accounts concerning their work, business, and personal engagements. Currently, WhatsApp users can only use one account on one phone. However, users can always register their accounts on other devices.
“If you have a dual SIM phone, please note that you still must choose one number to verify with WhatsApp. There is no option to have a verified WhatsApp account with two different phone numbers.

“If you attempt to frequently switch your WhatsApp account between different devices, at a certain point, you may be blocked from re-verifying your account. Please don’t repeatedly switch between different devices and numbers,” WhatsApp guidelines read.
