Rogue Agents Out To Give Kenyans Fake Jobs In The Middle East

Have you been promised work in the Middle East? And have you considered the offer yet or are you not ready? Well just beware of rogue agents who are out to swindle your money and dump you in the foreign countries.

Recent reports by a Non-Governmental organization have revealed that a good number of Kenyans have been promised well-paying jobs in the Arab countries but have ended up regretting the decision.

Some rogue agents are out to take a lot of money from innocent Kenyans who have lived by the notion that the Arab countries have greener pastures as compared to Kenya.

Kenyans have thus stormed the Middle East in good numbers to work as Domestic workers or house helps, restaurant waiters, cleaners, drivers security personnel, and even supermarket workers.

The agents give an offer of about 150,000 to 200,000 shillings for one to be taken to work in the United Arab Emirates. The Innocent Kenyans are then promised jobs that pay up to 100,000 shillings and they would be willing to do anything to secure the opportunities in the UAE.

All is well for these Kenyans until they land in UAE and realize that they are duped and they have nowhere to go thus they remain stranded in the airports or decide to come back home.

Fake Stadium construction jobs in Qatar

Qatar is currently the main target used by the agents to swindle money from the innocent Kenyans, as the country is expected to host the FIFA world cup 2022 and is in dire need of construction of new stadiums and renovation of old stadiums.

According to Muslims for Human Rights, some Kenyans have already been ferried to Qatar to build stadiums in preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2022.

“We can confirm that there are locals who have left to ‘build stadiums’ in Qatar. The figure stands at 40 this year. Normally, victims or their relatives report to us as a group, not individually, “says Muhuri Communications officer Ernest Cornel.

To some extent, it is true that Kenyans who go there have been receiving good pay but the conditions under which they live and work are dehumanizing.

For so long we have seen or heard a couple of cases where Kenyans have died mysterious deaths in the UAE or have been assaulted by their employees and some have even gone for days without food.

Kenyans are thus urged to be cautious about this human trafficking business and go for only agents that are registered to connect them to work in foreign countries.
