As the deadly Coronavirus continues to sweep across Kenya, several measures have been put in place by the government to cut down on the further massive spread of the virus.

Currently, the counties of Nairobi, Mombasa, Kwale, and Lamu are under partial lockdown. It means those within these counties cannot leave and outside the counties cannot enter for at least 21 days since the day the declaration was made.

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted negatively on people’s movement, especially those who do business and used to move from one county to another in search of goods. Many have opted to stay at home hoping the pandemic will pass soon.

Even with the lockdown, energy-saving jiko manufacturer, Burn Manufacturing, is determined to make sure that Kenyans across the country get to buy and benefit from the product. The Jikokoa brand maker has partnered with Jumia Kenya to have Kenyans purchase jikos online and have them delivered at no extra cost.

All the customer has to do is to click on the link, make an order, pay or pay on delivery and the Jiko will land at their doorstep. The move is aimed at encouraging Kenyans to adapt to the use of clean cooking that is both healthy and friendly to the environment.

“When one purchases Jikokoa, they don’t just purchase a jiko but quality. We give a 2-year warranty to all our products and we give at least 3 years of guaranteed lifetime,” read a statement from Burn Manufacturing.
