Kenyan Members of Parliament were among the few people who are paid a salary, then paid daily as they attend sittings (sitting allowances), given car grants, and paid mileage every time they travel to their constituencies. But not anymore.
The Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) has abolished the sitting allowances for Members of Parliament in plenary. SRC has already gazetted new salaries and remuneration for the elective posts across the country, 10 days before the general elections.

SRC has said that the “aggrieved parties are free to go to court,” but knowing our Honorable Members, they will not go to court but will try as much as possible to make something up that will give them money. They will either create more committees so that each one of them can be in a committee or they will find something else. We always have crooks who know how to survive.
